Road Construction & Asphalt

Road works are executed in stages: setting-out with the local authorities, clearing and earthworks with graders, dozers, loaders and tippers, then sub-base, aggregate base course and asphalt laid to the approved programme and tested at each layer. Structures are built to a schedule agreed with the Engineer.

Protection & Civil Works

Protection structures keep roads and communities safe from stormwater. The company’s written method statements set out materials, formwork, reinforcement, placement and inspection for each structure, from 1.2 m concrete cut-off walls to mortared riprap and gabion protection.

Interlock Paving & Kerbs

Supply and laying of interlock paving and kerb stones is a recurring package in Dhofar internal-road programmes. Beds are prepared and compacted, patterns laid to drawing, and edges restrained with kerbs before sand-jointing and compaction.

Al-Najd is registered for general, residential and non-residential building contracts and lists residential, commercial, government, industrial (steel-structure), hotel and school buildings among its services. Pre-construction management, general contracting and construction management are offered through the joint venture’s building department.

Finishing, Plastering & Renovation

Method statements cover plastering (with coordination rules between trades), painting, wooden cladding, wooden and aluminium doors and windows, flag poles with foundations, chain-link fencing and the renovation of existing buildings including tiling and UPVC.

Street Lighting & Feeder Pillars

Street-lighting packages have been delivered for Thumrait (stages 1 and 2) and the Maqshin entrance road. Installation follows a written method statement: foundations verified, poles erected with a crane, cabling and luminaires tested before energising, and quality records kept for every activity.

Road Marking & Traffic Furniture

Through joint-venture partner The Rising Arrow, the group offers road pavement marking in thermoplastic, cold-plastic and acrylic systems, spray-grid and anti-skid marking, paint removal, solar and ceramic road studs, traffic sign boards and rubber humps.

Substations & Electromechanical Works

Substation, transmission-and-distribution, HVAC and energy-efficiency works are delivered with joint-venture partner Sharikat Fanniya Omaniya, an EPC contractor for substations and networks that is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified.

Project delivery

Eight stages, one accountable team.

Every package follows the same lifecycle, led by the Project Manager as the single interface between Al-Najd, the client and the Engineer.

    Understand the client brief, site conditions, permits and the Engineer’s requirements.

    Plan

    Prepare the work programme, resource plan, method statements and HSE plan.

    Engineer

    Survey, setting-out, shop drawings and material approvals before work begins.

    Procure

    Source materials and plant to specification, including through joint-venture partners.

    Execute each activity under the site organisation with daily supervision.

    Quality control

    Inspection requests, laboratory testing and records at every hold point.
